Još od početka ove godine je duga teksas suknja jedan od vodećih trendova, a ja sam odolevala tome da je uključim u svoj stil sve do skoro - verovatno jer sam visoka svega 165cm i mislila sam da mi neće dobro stajati. Međutim, videla sam ovu u izlogu jednog lokalnog butika i mnogo mi se dopala! Ipak sam tek nekoliko dana kasnije zapravo ušla i pitala za nju jer nisam odmah bila sigurna da li mi je zaista potrebna. Ispostavilo se da je ostala još samo jedna i odlučila sam da je probam - savršeno mi je odgovarala! Tada sam prestala da se dvoumim i izašla iz butika sa suknjom koja me je inspirisala da posle dužeg vremena ponovo nosim suknje i smišljam kreativne odevne kombinacije s njima.
Kad je u pitanju ova suknja oduševile su me dve stvari - udobnost i svestranost. U njoj mogu komotno da provedem ceo dan jer me nigde ne steže i ne sputava, a pored toga mogu da je nosim na više načina - u malo odvažnijem izdanju uz kožnu jaknu i čizme, uz klasičnu belu košulju i sandale za neku poslovnu varijantu, kao i u ležernom stilu poput ovog koji vam sad pokazujem. Mislim da se sjajno uklopila s neutralnim tonovima, a to vam je ujedno i preporuka od mene ukoliko želite da isprobate nešto novo - uklopite komad koji je nov u vašem garderoberu sa stvarima koje provereno volite da nosite i u kojima se dobro osećate, i ako vidite da vam se rezultat dopada dobićete još mnogo ideja.

Since the beginning of the year the midi and maxi denim skirt is one of the leading trends, and I kept resisting the urge to incorporate it in my style until just recently - probably because I'm only 165cm tall (translates to 5'5'') and I thought that it wouldn't look good on me. However, I saw this skirt in the window of a local boutique and I really liked it! Despite that it wasn't until a couple of days later that I actually went inside to check it out because I wasn't sure if I really needed it. Turns out that there was only one left and so I decided to try it on - and it was a perfect fit! That was when I stopped having second thoughts and left the shop with the skirt that inspired me to go back to wearing skirts more often and create outfits around them.

When it comes to this particular skirt I loved two things about it - the coziness and versatility. I could easily spend an entire day wearing it because it doesn't get in the way or feel too constricting, and apart from that I can wear it in more ways than one - with a leather jacket and boots for an edgier look, as a part of a business chic outfit with a white shirt and sandals, or in a casual manner like the outfit I'm showing you now. I think it looks really nice with the neutral hues I went for, and that is also the tip I'd like to give you whenever you want to try something new - pair the garment that is new to your wardrobe with the clothes you feel the most confident in, and if the result works for you you'll get plenty of other ideas.
