My mind and me, we don't get along sometimes

Kad god se Ivana i ja dogovorimo da se vidimo i zajedno slikamo odevne kombinacije za blogove, to se uvek završi na neki od dva načina - ili ispadne fenomenalno ili je potpuni fijasko, nema između. xD Ovoga puta smo se i ona i ja složile da je ishod onaj drugi, nikako nam nije bio dan. Isto tako, ova odevna kombinacija daleko bolje izgleda uživo nego na fotografijama, ali nisam mogla da vam je ne pokažem. Ovu haljinu sam pronašla na sajtu brenda H&M i ubrzo mi je postala omiljena za hladne jesenje dane - tako je topla i mekana da bih mogla i da zaspim u njoj. Već sad imam još ideja kako da je kombinujem i divno se slaže s drugim stvarima koje imam u garderobu tako da se nimalo ne kajem što sam je kupila.

Inače, kad je reč o pesmi Selene Gomez koju sam odabrala za ovaj post, kad sam je prvi put pustila da je preslušam mislila sam da mi se neće dopasti - međutim, kako je nastavila da svira shvatila sam da je njena lepota u njenoj sirovosti i u tome što mnogo nas može s njom da se poistoveti. Ni moj um i ja se ne slažemo ponekad, postoje trenuci u kojima sudim sebi preterano strogo i sumnjam u sebe i svoje sposobnosti, i nekad me to preplavi. Svakog dana podsećam sebe na to da nisam jedina koja se tako oseća i da ono što vidimo na društvenim mrežama nije odraz savršenog i bezbrižnog života. Niko od nas zapravo nije sam u svojim osećanjima, i u redu je da nekad ne bude sve u redu. Ne može uvek da bude. I u redu je potražiti pomoć kad osetimo da nas problemi prevazilaze - od prijatelja, člana porodice, ili čak stručnjaka poput psihologa, psihoteraputa i psihijatra. Nema sramote u tome da je nekom potrebna pomoć i niko ne treba da se stidi da je potraži, i volela bih da svako od nas zadrži neku svest o tome s obzirom na to da živimo u svetu u kome je i dalje stigmatizovano pričati o mentalnom zdravlju i problemima s mentalnim zdravljem.

Svakom od nas može da se desi da ima neki problem s mentalnim zdravljem, strahove, traume ili bilo šta drugo, i svako od nas ima pravo da potraži pomoć i zaslužuje da je dobije.

Whenever Ivana and I make a deal to see each other and shoot outfits for our blogs together, it always ends in one of the two following ways - it's either phenomenal or a complete fiasco, there's no in between. xD This time we both agreed that it was the second outcome, we just couldn't get it done as we wanted. Also, this outfit looks so much better in person compared to photos, but I couldn't help posting it anyway. I found this dress on the H&M website and it soon became my favourite dress for cold autumn days - it's so soft and warm that I could almost fall asleep in it. I already have plenty of other ideas to combine it and it matches beautifully with many garments I have in my wardrobe so I don't regret buying it one bit.

Anyway, when it comes to the song by Selena Gomez that I chose for this post, when I first played it to have a listen at it I thought I was going to dislike it - however, as it kept playing I realized that its beauty was in its rawness and how so many of us can relate to it. My mind and me don't get along sometimes either, there are moments when I judge myself too harshly and doubt myself and my abilities, and sometimes it's overwhelming. Every day I keep reminding myself that I'm not the only one who feels like this and that what we see on social media is not a reflection of a perfect and carefree life. No one among us is really alone in their feelings, and it's okay that not everything is okay sometimes. It can't always be. And it's okay to ask for help when we feel like our problems overwhelm us - from a friend, a family member, or even an expert like a psychologist, psychotherapist and psychiatrist. There is no shame in needing help and no one should be ashamed of asking for it, and I hope that every one of us could stay somewhat aware of that considering that we live in a world where talking about mental health and problems with mental health is still a huge stigma.

Every single one of us could potentially have a mental health problem, fears, traumas or anything else, and each and every one of us has the right to ask for help and deserves to get it.
