Nešto ranije danas sam posetila predivna polja lavande nadomak Fruške Gore koja sam želela da vidim još prošle godine, ali sam nažalost zakasnila jer je bilo vreme za košenje. Ove godine nisam želela da propustim da vidim ovu plemenitu biljku u punom cvatu - vožnja je trajala malo duže i bilo je vruće na granici nepodnošljivog, ali vredelo je svaki pređeni kilometar. Žbunje predivnog ljubičastog cveća prostire se u nedogled i blista u svom punom sjaju pod otvorenim nebom, a nežan i umirujući miris oseća se na svakom koraku. Očarana sam ovim malim delom svoje zemlje i volela bih da sam mogla da ostanem sve do zalaska sunca da još malo uživam, a nisam odolela ni da najpažljivije moguće odsečem nekoliko cvetova i ponesem ih za uspomenu na ovaj srećan i bezbrižan dan.

Ova objava na blogu je drugačija od onih na koje ste navikli ne samo po ruralnom ambijentu i kombinaciji koja se svodi na jednu predivnu cvetnu haljinu i tek poneki komad nakita, već i po tome što se na većini slika osmehujem bez ustezanja. Obično izbegavam da se smejem kad me neko fotografiše jer mislim da će moj osmeh izgledati usiljeno, ali danas sam bila toliko srećna što sam pronašla ovo predivno mesto da nisam želela da marim za sitnice koje bi me ranije verovatno živcirale - ni za haljinu koja se izgužvala tokom vožnje, ni za naglašene bore smejalice na licu, ni za to što su mi držači za intermaksilarne gumice zalepljeni za zube (stomatološka sitnica), ni za podbradak i nos koji mi nikad nije bio omiljeni deo lica, ali sam naučila da ga prihvatim takvog kakav jeste. Jedino je važno to što sam srećna - srećna zbog toga što sam mogla da se prošetam ovim divnim i mirisnim parčetom zemlje u prelepoj haljini koja je laka kao pero, i što imam mnogo lepih uspomena na savršen početak leta.

Niko od nas nije savršen, i ne treba da bude, i znam kakav je osećaj kad primetite nešto zbog čega vam se ne dopada kako izgledate na nekoj slici, i u redu je. Ali ako je ta slika uspomena na trenutak kad ste bili srećni, bezbrižni, ispunjeni i voljeni, onda ne postoji ta sitnica koja je dovoljno moćna da vam taj trenutak upropasti. Dajte sve od sebe da vezujete fotografije za uspomene i s vremenom će vam se perspektiva bar malo promeniti. ♡

Earlier today I visited the most beautiful lavender fields close to the mountain of Fruška Gora which I wanted to see since last year, but I was sadly too late back then because they had to cut it down by the time I could get there. This year I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to see this noble plant in full bloom - the drive lasted a bit longer and it was so hot it was close to unbearable, but it was worth every kilometer we had to go. The bushes of gorgeous purple flowers lay across the field to infinity and gleam under the open sky, and the soft, soothing smell can be felt with every step you take. I was mesmerized by this small part of my country and I wish I could have stayed until sunset and enjoyed some more, and I couldn't resist carefully cutting a few flowers and taking them with me as a memory of this happy, carefree day.

This blog post is different than the ones you're used to, not only because of the rural landscape and an outfit that solely consists of a beautiful floral dress and some carefully selected jewellery, but also because I'm smiling unapologetically in most photos. I usually avoid smiling when someone takes photos of me because I'm convinced that it would end up looking staged, but today I was so happy to have found this gorgeous place that I didn't want to care about the little things that would probably get on my nerves - the creasing of the dress caused by the car ride, the prominent smiling wrinkles on my face, the fact that I have intermaxillary rubber band holders stuck to my teeth (a little thing orthodontists use), the double chin or my nose, which was never my favourite part of my face, but I've learned to accept it as it is over time. The only thing that matters is that I'm happy - happy that I was able to frolic along this wonderful and fragrant piece of land in a gorgeous dress which is featherlight, and also because I have so many nice memories of the perfect beginning of summer.

No one is perfect, and they shouldn't be, and I know what it feels like to notice something that makes you feel like you didn't turn out well in a photo, and that's okay. But if that photo is a memory of a moment you felt happy, careless, fulfilled and loved in, then there is no little thing powerful enough to ruin it for you. Try to tie photographs to memories and with time your perspective will change at least a little bit. ♡
